YETI CAVES Corp. is intended to bring together outdoor offerings and abilities to youth. YETI Founder Matt Arnett started his love of the outdoors as a Scout in the early 1970's and the passion has never faded.
From experiencing, exploring, and appreciating locations around the world to sharing outdoor knowledge as a Scoutmaster in two states, Camp Host / Campmaster at 3 camps, and merit badge Counselor for almost 20 merit badges the concept of YETI CAVES came into being. YETI (Youth Environmental Training Institute), has a simple non-political basic outdoor skills such as:
- Outdoor Basics
- What to consider (with stress on safety)
- Leave no trace
- Basic camp setup
- Cooking
- Animals and other critters (i.e. BUGS)
- Flora and fauna
- Etc...
- Fishing (standard & fly) as well as fly tying
- Photography
YETI will provide activity appropriate equipment to use during the function. What is intended to start as day only sessions overnight camping will be available when attendee skills allow.
